Colors and people are two things that inspire me the most. After I find a subject that inspires me, I do a pencil sketch of what I want to paint. This sketch is a general guideline for me, which I sometimes don't stick to. I love watercolors because of the unpredictable nature of it. Though I plan before I start to paint, I never know what my painting would look like in the end. I usually start by wetting the paper throughout and drop colors and let it perform. I then start to shape it by adding new colors, wiping, spraying with water and whatever I can do to it. This way of working helps me to use my imagination and satisfy my thirst and yet produce something that you can relate to." |
